The Project

The mission of Project Moving Forward is to support the academic, social and cultural needs of students from deprived backgrounds and families.

In conjunction with the community, key Local Authority departmental services and Schools, we have created a unique and effective mentoring referral and school re-integration programme individually tailored for educational institutions that consists of three co-equal strands; Educational, Personal and cultural development.

In addition, we have developed an active community outreach programme, which amongst other things, seeks to bridge and address the gap between schools, parents and the wider community in a meaningful, practical and positive way.

Our work across all strands include, but not be limited to:

  • Delivering family learning courses
  • Niche Educational Interpreting and Translation Services
  • Tutoring and Study Support
  • Career Development/Pathway Guidance
  • Transition/Induction
  • Language Support
  • Cultural initiatives
  • Group Work
  • Sessions
  • Parent Support/Outreach
  • Home visits
